Base Salary
$230k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect the long-term strategy and roadmap for developer infrastructure, including CI, SCM, and development environments.
- Build and maintain scalable infrastructure focused on speed, safety, reliability, and increasing operational loads.
- Lead developer onboarding and remote development environment strategy to reduce time-to-first-commit.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to standardize build and CI patterns and eliminate developer friction.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and establish best-practice operational guidelines.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, scaling, and operating critical developer infrastructure or high-volume build and CI systems in production.
- Deep expertise with modern build systems such as Bazel and distributed or remote build execution, plus a strong understanding of CI/CD at scale.
- Strong programming proficiency in Go or Python and experience building reliable, maintainable system software.
- Proven ability to guide complex technical initiatives from conception through completion and align execution with company-wide objectives.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
