Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain reliable Go microservices for the Workato platform.
- Implement business logic and enterprise-quality features, including on-premise functionality, authentication, caching, work queuing, and APIs.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure and Site Reliability Engineering teams to meet high-availability and scalability requirements.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle and maintain production systems.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Evaluate existing systems and propose improvements.
Requirements
- Have 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering.
- Have 2+ years of solid backend experience with Go.
- Understand databases, load balancers, application servers, message brokers, caching, monitoring, and other core web application building blocks.
- Have experience with distributed systems.
- Be familiar with Git and CI/CD practices.
- Preferred qualifications include Ruby on Rails, B2B systems, related DevOps, ML, DBA, or enterprise application experience, large-scale third-party API work, and open-source contributions.
- Demonstrate strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, communication, ownership, collaboration, and learning skills.
