Responsibilities
- Own the architecture, delivery, and production operation of systems in the Growth domain.
- Decompose ambiguous projects into parallel workstreams and identify technical risks early.
- Write design documents and architecture decision records.
- Improve codebase clarity through refactoring and reusable abstractions.
- Design testing strategies and improve CI reliability.
- Lead incident investigations and create blameless postmortems with measurable follow-up actions.
- Mentor engineers and use code reviews as a coaching mechanism.
- Partner with Product and Design to propose solutions, challenge scope, and make data-informed decisions.
- Translate technical risks into business consequences and communicate issues early with options.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience designing, shipping, operating, and maintaining a non-trivial production system.
- Strong technical and architectural judgment regarding appropriate abstractions and complexity.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring other engineers.
- Ability to maintain and revise technical positions based on evidence.
