Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build secure, high-performance email and calendar features for the Outlook Mobile native application.
- Define architecture and technical approaches, and produce well-tested, maintainable, and instrumented code.
- Use telemetry, analytics, customer feedback, experimentation, and usage insights to improve reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Collaborate with product managers, technical leads, and partner teams on requirements, APIs, technical solutions, and development tools.
- Apply AI-assisted coding tools responsibly while maintaining correctness, security, testing, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- Preferred: master’s degree and 6+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience with modern mobile architecture, performance, reliability, telemetry, experimentation, customer-focused user experiences, AI-assisted coding tools, project management, communication, and cross-team collaboration.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800–$234,700 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of USD $160,200–$261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position will remain open for at least five days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
