Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and troubleshoot firmware code for allocated embedded-system functions.
  • Define firmware test specifications and support testing throughout the product life cycle.
  • Collaborate with testing and engineering teams on test plans, test-result reviews, and product specifications.
  • Troubleshoot field issues with technical support and provide customer application support.
  • Produce technical documentation including drawings and component specifications.
  • Contribute to code reviews, team performance improvement, and clear information flow across the team.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience with C in DSP-based real-time system architectures.
  • Experience with Git, GitLab, TortoiseSVN, DSP/MCU architectures, and preferably TI-oriented systems.
  • Knowledge of CAN Bus, I2C, SPI, serial communication, PWM, ADC converters, laboratory instruments, and electronic power converters.
  • A master’s degree in Software or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with Simulink/MATLAB, PID regulators, Clarke and Park transforms, digital filtering, and hardware-in-the-loop is preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in UPS, inverter, power-converter, or low-voltage electrical-distribution applications is a plus.
  • Knowledge of product life-cycle management and related processes.
  • Strong planning, communication, teamwork, customer orientation, and English-language skills, with availability to travel.
