Responsibilities
- Guide and influence development of a formal Global Quality Services Framework.
- Develop and support QA test strategies, methodologies, standard processes, project plans, and testing approaches.
- Define testing scope, test plans, timelines, entry and exit criteria, test scenarios, test data, and test environments.
- Manage and assist with test execution across SIT, performance, UAT, automation, production, and validation phases.
- Track and report test execution, defects, quality metrics, risks, dependencies, and project milestones.
- Debug automated test failures and defects by analyzing logs, traces, and application behavior.
- Collaborate with development, IT, business, vendors, and other cross-functional stakeholders to review and approve testing approaches.
- Coordinate resources, support project priorities and deadlines, identify risks, and escalate high-priority issues.
- Provide technical guidance, feedback, documentation, and learning support to coworkers and stakeholders.
- Work with development teams to understand technical requirements and create appropriate test cases and test strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field, or equivalent additional work experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in SQA or software testing using Java.
- At least 2 years of Java test automation experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with test management tools such as Qtest or QualityCenter.
- At least 2 years of experience with defect management tools such as JIRA or Rally.
- At least 2 years of experience with API testing or debugging tools such as Postman.
- At least 2 years of experience working in virtual testing environments.
- Karate is mandatory for API test automation and debugging; Java, Selenium, Appium, API testing, and functional testing are required skills.
- At least 1 year in an informal lead role working with technical teams.
- Preferred experience includes leadership interaction, IT vendors, SDLC implementations, technical documentation, integration technologies, healthcare testing, business systems applications, data marts or data warehousing, and cloud technologies, particularly Azure.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with MQ, web services, Splunk, Dynatrace, QAI or ASQ certification, and a master's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field.
