Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and stakeholders on project requirements and objectives.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation for software build, test, deployment, and configuration.
- Manage GCP infrastructure and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, Deployment Manager, and related tools.
- Develop monitoring solutions with Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging and address performance, reliability, and scalability issues.
- Implement infrastructure and application deployment security practices using IAM, Security Command Center, and VPC Service Controls.
- Provide troubleshooting and operational support for build failures, deployment problems, outages, and critical incidents.
- Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Operations Suite.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Bash, or Ruby scripting.
- Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef configuration management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes containerization technologies.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts and tools.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Current or expired certification in at least one approved GCP engineering, architecture, development, DevOps, security, or network certification.
