Base Salary
$185k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement real-time machine learning and anomaly detection algorithms to identify unauthorized account sharing.
- Develop end-to-end ML pipelines for data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment using cloud platforms.
- Optimize models for performance, scalability, and efficiency across high-volume streaming data.
- Integrate ML solutions with existing systems through APIs and establish monitoring for model drift and retraining.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product analysts, data engineers, and product teams to productionize research prototypes.
- Use A/B testing and feedback on evolving evasion tactics to refine fraud detection algorithms.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on machine learning engineering experience.
- Track record developing fraud or anomaly detection systems, ideally for online consumer-facing products and services.
- Expertise in Python and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or XGBoost.
- Experience with MLOps tools including MLflow and Docker, and cloud ML services such as AWS SageMaker and Databricks MLflow.
- Experience with cloud computing infrastructure and tooling such as AWS or GCP.
- Ability to collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to deploy models supporting business goals.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills, including explaining algorithm decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, machine learning, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Cloud ML certifications are a plus.
