Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications and scalable backend services for healthcare member journeys.
- Build and optimize secure, high-performance APIs and microservices on Azure cloud platforms.
- Integrate conversational AI interfaces, Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions, and AI-powered user experiences.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection controls across APIs and application services.
- Integrate enterprise healthcare APIs and data sources for provider search, benefits guidance, and cost estimation workflows.
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Azure Kubernetes Service or OpenShift while supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
- Improve observability, monitoring, logging, and performance for cloud-native applications.
- Write clean, testable, production-ready code; participate in code reviews; and implement automated testing and quality engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in Azure development and cloud-native engineering.
- Proficiency with Next.js, Node.js, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Management, Azure Storage Queues, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Content Delivery Network (CDN), Azure App Service, and Azure Functions.
- Experience with conversational AI frameworks, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Gateway integration, semantic search technologies, Avaya Contact Center integration, and CI/CD pipeline automation and monitoring tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, secure coding practices in healthcare, and enterprise healthcare API standards is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline is a desired qualification.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or an equivalent Azure certification is preferred.
- Certification in AI engineering or cloud-native development, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, is highly desirable.
