Responsibilities
- Build and optimize high-volume, low-latency ETL pipelines ingesting streaming sensor data from factory equipment.
- Design and maintain backend services powering real-time dashboards and AI model outputs.
- Contribute to platform automation and alerting, including the use of AI tools to identify issues proactively.
- Develop data models that translate heterogeneous factory and operational technology data into clean, queryable structures.
- Navigate legacy systems and greenfield development while shipping production code.
- Collaborate with forward-deployed engineers and incorporate real-world client constraints into the platform.
Requirements
- Have a portfolio including side projects, open-source contributions, or AI-powered tools.
- Demonstrate fluency with AI development tools, agentic workflows, LLM-assisted pipelines, or AI APIs.
- Have 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, or less when supported by strong work and projects.
- Use Python as a primary language and have working knowledge of at least one other high-level language.
- Have strong data structures and algorithms foundations and some exposure to distributed systems.
- Have experience with relational and NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Be comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments and in mature codebases.
- Communicate clearly and directly and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly.
- Preferred qualifications include Azure Cloud, ETL or large-scale data ingestion, R, Industrial IoT, manufacturing systems, OT environments, and an active GitHub profile.
