Responsibilities
- Analyze opportunities, propose ideas, train and evaluate machine learning models, run experiments, and deploy solutions to production.
- Develop pipelines and automated processes for training and evaluating models in offline and online environments.
- Integrate ML models into production systems and ensure their scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with product and strategy partners to propose, prioritize, and implement product features.
- Contribute to and influence ML architecture at Stripe.
- Evaluate model performance, improve systems to meet or exceed human performance, and ensure model quality does not degrade online.
- Explore LLM fine-tuning, open-source and in-house platforms, and emerging ML/AI developments.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience shipping machine learning systems in production.
- Experience developing streaming feature pipelines, building ML models, and deploying them to production.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in full-time software development roles.
- Preferred: experience shipping high-quality LLM integrations to user products.
- Preferred: experience operating in highly ambiguous environments.
- Preferred: knowledge of driving a hypothesis from data.
- Strong ownership, initiative, collaboration, and focus on production quality are expected.
