Base Salary
$159k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform application security reviews.
- Conduct penetration testing.
- Build security tools and automation.
- Analyze application and service security and address security issues.
- React quickly to new threat scenarios.
- Conduct projects and research as needed.
- Provide security training and outreach to internal development teams.
- Create security guidance documentation.
- Deliver and improve security metrics.
- Assist with recruiting activities and administrative work.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to AWS IT Security planning and process improvement.
Requirements
- 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .NET, C++, or a similar object-oriented language.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience with scripting, programming, and security code review in a common programming language.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating basic tasks with command-line tools.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or 2+ years of IT Security experience.
- Knowledge of HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP networking protocols.
- Knowledge of industry security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.
- Preferred: experience with threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
- Preferred: experience with AWS products and services and programming in Python, Java, or C++.
- Preferred: experience with security activities across software development lifecycle phases, including security design review, threat modeling, secure code review, and security testing.

- Base salary range of $159,300.00-$202,400.00 annually in Austin, Texas or Seattle, Washington, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
