Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and debug C++ applications in Windows and Linux environments.
- Design and implement services and components supporting edge-to-cloud integration.
- Contribute to the evolution of the REST-based service layer and decouple it from embedded and cloud runtimes.
- Support migration of applications from Yocto/Linux embedded systems to cloud-native environments.
- Define container-based and cloud-native deployment architectures.
- Resolve customer issues and contribute to high-level design strategies for key projects.
- Improve software quality through testability and test automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Science Engineering.
- At least three years of experience as a software engineer developing in C++ on Linux or Windows.
- Experience developing scalable, high-performance, highly available embedded or server applications.
- Experience with C++ client/server applications, with desirable knowledge of C++20, Boost, and STL.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems, inter-process communication, and multithreaded applications.
- Experience with embedded system development and cross-platform development.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or OpenStack.
- Familiarity with database systems, networking protocols and tools, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
- Experience with test automation and BDD in an Agile software development environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and fluent English.
- Desirable experience with Yocto, containers, and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
