Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, operate, and support large-scale global Oracle cloud network fabrics and systems.
- Develop and implement solutions for network issues, safely execute network changes, and provide break-fix and escalation support.
- Participate in network lifecycle management, network build and upgrade projects, and network solution or architecture design.
- Participate in primary or secondary operational rotations, perform root cause analysis, and support event remediation.
- Develop Python scripts and automation systems to streamline routine network operations.
- Support network vendor software bug fixes and provide technical direction and mentoring to other team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or qualifying equivalent work experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in the offered role or a related Network Developer occupation; the qualifications section also specifies at least 8 years of related experience.
- Deep experience with network protocols, network fabric architectures, network device management, troubleshooting, performance analysis, networking operations, and on-call support.
- Experience with IP, TCP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, MPLS, VPN, SSL, Internet peering, and inter-domain networking.
- Experience operating and debugging RDMA-based CLOS fabrics in production hyperscaler environments, including RoCE and InfiniBand fabrics.
- Experience designing and operating multi-plane or multi-rail network architectures and optimizing large-scale, low-latency Ethernet networks for AI and HPC workloads.
- Advanced troubleshooting across switch ASICs, NIC firmware, optic modules, and distributed routing protocols.
- Experience with Cisco, Arista, Nvidia/Mellanox, Broadcom, SNMP, MIBs, network automation, scripting or compiled languages, datacenter design, and high-level software development.
- Experience with automation frameworks, network modeling and programming, YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, telemetry, and data-flow design.
- Knowledge of network security design, system performance characterization, and testing, plus strong judgment, communication, organization, and mentoring skills.
- Experience working in a large ISP or cloud provider environment is preferred.
