Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of Android infotainment applications.
- Define and maintain scalable Android application architecture and guide implementation decisions.
- Collaborate with UX/UI, middleware, framework, hardware, testing, OEM, and Tier-1 teams.
- Ensure compliance with Android Automotive OS, GMS, CTS, and GTS requirements.
- Drive requirements analysis, estimation, roadmap planning, code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Mentor and guide developers on Android design patterns, architecture, and engineering practices.
- Implement unit testing, instrumentation testing, and test automation frameworks.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers on requirements and delivery.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7.5 years of experience is required; the additional information specifies a minimum of 10 years in infotainment and telematics.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electronics, or a related stream.
- Strong hands-on Android application development experience using Java and Kotlin.
- Expertise with Android application architecture, dependency injection, and Jetpack libraries.
- Experience with AAOS, AOSP, and automotive infotainment domains including media, navigation, connectivity, voice assistants, and vehicle data integration.
- Knowledge of Google GMS certification and CTS/GTS compliance.
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and Gradle build systems.
- Strong debugging experience using ADB, Logcat, Systrace, and Perf tools.
- Demonstrated leadership in guiding developers and managing deliverables.
- Experience with Espresso, JUnit, and UI Automator for test automation.
- Understanding of Android framework and middleware layers beyond applications.
- Exposure to ISO 26262 functional safety and ISO 21434 cybersecurity requirements.
- Experience with OEM or Tier-1 infotainment projects and strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
