Base Salary
$104k - $139k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own AWS cloud infrastructure end-to-end from architecture and implementation through operations, availability, performance, and scale.
- Design self-service Infrastructure-as-Code templates and automation workflows using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Maintain cloud security and audit-ready FedRAMP configurations while reducing configuration drift and streamlining patching.
- Collaborate with Engineering to launch services, respond to high-priority incidents, and convert post-mortem findings into platform improvements.
- Monitor and optimize platform resilience, performance, and cost using Datadog or similar observability tools.
- Mentor junior Cloud Engineers through code and design reviews and contribute to modern cloud strategy.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience in cloud systems or platform engineering, including management of complex production AWS infrastructure.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Hands-on proficiency with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes/EKS-based microservices.
- Strong experience with Datadog or similar observability tools and Git/GitLab for code delivery and automation.
- Fluent scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go and a solid understanding of DevOps methodologies.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, and collaboration skills.
- Experience maintaining or patching FedRAMP-regulated or other highly compliant cloud environments is a bonus.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent real-world experience, is a bonus.
