Responsibilities

Evaluate, innovate, develop, implement, and support internal Engineering automation systems.
Write code for management tools, test automation, and deployment utilities.
Integrate and implement best practices and DevOps methodologies.
Design, develop, support, and manage integrations to internal and external systems.
Deliver high-quality software using development methodologies.
Automate manual processes and optimize systems for performance and scalability.
Conduct research and recommend improvements to systems and processes.
Manage technical requirements gathering and contribute to backlog grooming.
Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, engineering, or related field.
6+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
Advanced experience in Python or similar programming languages.
Experience with various APIs and integration platforms.
Experience developing Slack Apps.
Experience with application containerization platforms.
Experience with CI/CD build tools.
Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
Experience in design, development, and implementation of scalable software systems.
Solid understanding of source code versioning and exposure to Git, GitHub.
Ability to drive work without supervision and collaborate across functions.
Detail-oriented, self-organized, and committed to quality.
Ability to work in a fast-changing, dynamic, and agile environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
