Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Write automated tests with Pytest and build and debug APIs using Postman.
- Deploy and maintain microservices on Kubernetes.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with product, data, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end features.
- Support CI/CD workflows, participate in code reviews, and maintain engineering documentation and automation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of backend software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI, Pytest, Postman, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices.
- Understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
- Familiarity with logging, tracing, monitoring, and observability tools.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments.
- Experience with Redis, LaunchDarkly, New Relic, PagerDuty, or TestRail is beneficial.
