Responsibilities

  • Configure and develop Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next and Salesforce Data 360 solutions according to approved architecture and user stories.
  • Create and maintain Data Lake Objects, Data Model Objects, data streams, mappings, transformation logic and customer data models.
  • Implement and test identity resolution rules, unified customer profiles, calculated insights, segments and activation targets.
  • Build audiences, campaigns, flows, event triggers, personalisation rules, orchestration components and customer engagement journeys.
  • Develop integrations using Salesforce APIs, Data Cloud connectors, Salesforce Flow, middleware and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Support migration of legacy marketing automation capabilities, including automations, journeys, subscriber data, campaign logic, content and preferences.
  • Implement consent, preference, suppression, retention and communication governance requirements.
  • Create SQL queries, API payloads, technical documentation, mapping specifications, deployment documentation and operational handover materials.
  • Support release planning, deployment, environment management and post-release validation.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, security, governance and architecture teams to resolve risks and maintain secure, scalable solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience with customer data concepts including ingestion, data streams, Data Lake Objects, Data Model Objects, identity resolution, unified profiles, segmentation and activation.
  • At least 3 years of experience building Salesforce solutions with declarative tools such as Salesforce Flow, configuration, validation rules, permissions and data management features.
  • Practical experience with Salesforce Data 360, Salesforce Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud Next, Marketing Cloud Growth, Marketing Cloud Advanced or comparable customer data and marketing automation platforms.
  • Understanding of customer engagement and marketing automation concepts, including audiences, campaigns, journeys, event triggers, personalisation, consent and preference management.
  • Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries and working with CSV, JSON and XML.
  • Experience integrating systems through REST APIs, SOAP APIs, file-based interfaces, middleware, connectors or event-driven approaches.
  • Understanding of requirements gathering, user stories, source control, testing, deployment and defect management.
  • Experience with structured release management and deployment processes and an understanding of secure development, privacy, governance and responsible communications.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Data 360, Marketing Cloud, Marketing Cloud Next, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer or Agentforce are advantageous.
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud Engagement, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Content Builder, AMPscript, SSJS and subscriber management is advantageous.
  • Experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce CLI, Git, DevOps tooling, automated testing frameworks or CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
  • Experience with MuleSoft, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, AWS or Google Cloud is advantageous.
  • Experience with batch or streaming ingestion, data federation, zero-copy, data sharing, near-real-time activation, email deliverability, domain authentication or IP warming is beneficial.
  • Exposure to Agentforce, Salesforce AI, prompt-enabled workflows, Tableau, Marketing Intelligence, personalisation or analytics platforms is beneficial.
  • Experience delivering B2B or B2C customer engagement solutions or working in consulting, enterprise transformation, agile or multi-vendor environments is advantageous.
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Check clearance, including continuous residence in the UK for the last 5 years and satisfaction of other eligibility criteria.
