Responsibilities
- Contribute to Astro Platform architecture and implement core platform components.
- Build and iterate on customer-facing features, including public APIs and supporting infrastructure.
- Develop reliable, scalable backend services and improve platform usability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product management, customers, and cross-functional teams.
- Use AI coding assistants and LLMs for prototyping, testing, refactoring, and documentation.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building performant, scalable, and reliable backend systems.
- Experience developing services with Go and orchestrating services with Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with SQL databases, particularly Postgres; Spanner experience is a plus.
- Advanced understanding of distributed systems concepts and NALSD.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Experience using AI coding assistants or LLMs such as Claude, Cursor, or Gemini is expected.
- Open-source contributions, Apache Airflow or workflow-orchestration experience, and experience with billing or authentication systems are preferred.
