Base Salary

$210k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the architecture and implementation of Astro Platform components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver product and engineering features.
  • Work with frontend developers, product management, and customers on public APIs and Astro infrastructure.
  • Improve the platform’s usability, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Track record building performant, scalable, and reliable backend systems.
  • Experience developing services with Go and orchestrating services on Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases, particularly Postgres; Spanner experience is a plus.
  • Advanced understanding of distributed systems concepts and NALSD.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants and LLMs such as Claude, Cursor, and Gemini for development tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Open source contributions are a bonus.
  • Apache Airflow or related workflow orchestrator experience is a bonus.
  • Experience with billing, authentication, and related critical business systems is a bonus.
