Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement production application development to improve processes.
- Manage the application lifecycle within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Improve cybersecurity from an application-development perspective.
- Provide support and development activities according to service levels, maintenance plans, or project plans.
- Identify business needs and opportunities for efficient new solutions.
- Ensure and maintain high quality across daily work, including keeping maintenance documentation current.
- Participate in IT projects as part of a project team.
- Provide end-user support, including on-call duties when necessary.
Requirements
- Relevant higher-education degree, such as an applied sciences or university degree in information processing or information technology.
- Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English.
- Knowledge of development languages such as .NET, Microsoft technologies, TypeScript, Java, JavaScript, Python, and C/C++.
- Experience with product-development tools, version control such as Git, and development tools such as Visual Studio Code.
- Foundational knowledge of server operating systems and databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, and MySQL.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Azure.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to occupational safety.
- Experience in mining or manufacturing environments and supporting IT solutions is considered an advantage.
- Experience working as part of a developing team, a proactive service-oriented approach, and a solution-focused mindset are considered advantages.
