Responsibilities
- Own the multi-year technical strategy for account and entity compromise across Meta’s Family of Apps.
- Define and improve authentication and recovery integrity, compromise detection, enforcement, remediation, and harm-measurement systems.
- Establish technical direction in ambiguous, adversarial problem areas and sequence initiatives to reduce real-world harm.
- Bring integrity requirements into new products and account models, including newly launched apps such as Muse.
- Define metrics for compromise rates, harm prevented, recovery success, and false-positive costs.
- Partner across Meta and communicate technical trade-offs involving user protection, product friction, and business outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to accelerate the company through centralized tooling and systems across legacy identity systems and new account models.
- Reassess plans, communicate trade-offs, and iterate as priorities and requirements change.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience building large-scale applications or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of programming experience.
- 8+ years of experience with web or mobile technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience communicating and working cross-functionally to drive solutions.
- Experience driving large cross-functional or industry-wide engineering efforts.
- Experience mentoring and influencing engineers across organizations.
- Experience leading projects with industry-wide impact.
- Proven ability to plan multi-year roadmaps in which shorter-term projects support a long-term vision.
- Preferred: experience delivering step-change system improvements through architectural rethinking or ground-up rebuilds.
- Preferred: experience with adversarial problems, abuse or fraud detection, trust and safety, risk, security, privacy, compliance, or regulated-domain engineering.
- Preferred: experience integrating AI-assisted development practices and agent-based workflows.
- Preferred: experience defining reliability, performance, or quality frameworks adopted at organizational or company-wide scale.
