Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of modern Python-based solutions.
- Partner with clients to understand business challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across project teams and lead development teams.
- Mentor and coach developers and contribute to their career and technical growth.
- Build scalable backend platforms, APIs, integrations, and data-driven applications.
- Design and implement AI-enabled solutions using LLM frameworks and architectures.
- Guide architecture decisions, engineering standards, and software development best practices.
- Support pre-sales activities, technical workshops, architecture discussions, and strategic client engagements.
- Contribute to the growth of DVT’s Python and AI communities and thought leadership.
- Deliver innovative solutions that create measurable business value.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Python, with extensive Django and Django REST Framework experience.
- Experience building scalable APIs, distributed systems, secure enterprise applications, and maintainable software architectures.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Strong testing practices using PyTest, unit testing, and integration testing.
- Practical experience applying generative AI, RAG, AI guardrails, responsible AI, vector databases, semantic search, and AI solution architecture.
- Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar platforms and frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel.
- Experience with prompt engineering and evaluation strategies.
- Comfort working across the full stack with technologies such as React, Angular, Vue.js, TypeScript, or modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, microservices, event-driven architectures, Git, and monitoring or observability platforms.
- Ability to engage directly with clients, facilitate technical workshops, communicate with technical and business audiences, and manage stakeholders.
- Experience leading development teams and mentoring engineers in a consulting environment.
