Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain high-volume security data Lakehouse systems in Snowflake for detection engineering and threat hunting.
- Lead ingestion, normalization, enrichment, and correlation of security telemetry such as logs, events, metrics, alerts, configurations, and scanning data.
- Define and enforce security data standards, schemas, normalization frameworks, governance processes, reporting, and quality checks.
- Build data analytics and processing solutions using SQL and Python, including batch and streaming data workflows.
- Partner with Security Operations, threat detection, GRC, and engineering teams to deliver scalable security data solutions.
- Provide technical authority, mentorship, documentation, vendor management, proof-of-concept development, and platform strategy leadership.
- Improve data reliability, performance, cost efficiency, baseline processes, configurations, and adoption of industry standards.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of database engineering experience with significant focus on security data Lakehouse, analytics, detection, and platform engineering.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience with databases including Snowflake, SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
- At least 2 years of experience with data warehouses and data lakes including Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, and Azure Synapse.
- At least 2 years of experience with Python, JavaScript, SQL, and other programming languages, including AI-assisted coding.
- Experience with data modeling, normalization, schema design, ETL/ELT pipelines, ingestion, validation, quality checks, error handling, and large-scale datasets.
- Understanding of data governance, metadata management, data privacy, compliance, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with OCSF and STIX data standards and experience with AWS, Azure, or Google cloud platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, relevant industry certifications, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
