Base Salary
$115k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Product Managers on technical roadmaps and architectural blueprints.
- Build and integrate Generative AI features and applications, including use cases involving RAG and MCP.
- Partner with ML and Data Science teams to use AI models.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, review code, and establish engineering best practices.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in code quality, security, testing, DevOps, observability, and automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of professional experience building maintainable, scalable, and high-performance systems in Java.
- Expertise in modern Java and deep knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related frameworks.
- Extensive experience designing and deploying distributed systems and microservice-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI applications and concepts such as RAG and MCP.
- Required experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of secure API development and service-to-service communication patterns.
- Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP and with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with automated testing, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and CI/CD.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and engineering mentorship skills.
- Preferred experience with Temporal, Spring AI, and open-source or community contributions in AI, Java, microservices, or cloud tools.
