Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and scale high-throughput, highly available ingestion layers for utilization and configuration data from millions of resources.
- Build data pipelines and services that collect, clean, aggregate, and label large volumes of metrics and billing data.
- Own systems end to end across architecture, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and operations in multiple AWS regions and partitions.
- Partner with data scientists and engineering teams to define data requirements and deliver partitioned data lakes for modeling and recommendations.
- Develop secure, scalable, cost-efficient, serverless, and decoupled distributed architectures.
- Establish ingestion and publishing SLAs and implement backfill, data-correction, monitoring, and data-quality processes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 2 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
