Base Salary
$154k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable, reliable, and performant backend software systems.
- Build identity, access, profile, and single sign-on services for web, mobile, and vehicle applications.
- Collaborate with engineers, technical leaders, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver interoperable products and systems.
- Apply software development standards and best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers while providing technical leadership on complex efforts.
- Own the services operated by the team and ensure 24/7 on-call coverage.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and improve software development processes through experimentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of software development experience focused on backend technologies.
- Proficiency in Go, Node.js, Python, Java, or Ruby.
- Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience with identity management systems and directory services such as Azure AD, AWS Cognito, LDAP, or Okta.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and software development best practices.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Preferred: experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Preferred: hands-on experience building on AWS using Go and/or Python.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically.
