Base Salary
$154k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services that integrate machine learning models into production systems.
- Productionize models for scheduling optimization, diagnostics, and service recommendations supporting real-time and batch AI inference at scale.
- Ensure observability and monitoring for model performance, data drift, and system reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
- Implement software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex, large-scale efforts.
- Own team services and ensure 24/7 on-call coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of software development experience focused on backend technologies, with the ability to lead multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Python and Go, with experience in Node.js.
- Experience integrating with or building around ML/AI systems such as TensorFlow.
- Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases including PostgreSQL, Redis, MySQL, and/or MongoDB.
- Experience with data pipeline or streaming tools.
- Understanding of operational intelligence use cases such as predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and optimization algorithms.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and software development best practices.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Preferred experience in automotive, manufacturing, or field-service industries, particularly scheduling or diagnostics.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML-powered decision systems in production environments.
