Base Salary
$150k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance front-end architecture for the modernized Bruin portal and AI-assisted customer-facing surfaces.
- Establish and own a standardized, versioned design-system component library and publish it through Storybook.
- Drive component-library adoption across multiple product and engineering teams.
- Define front-end contracts and component boundaries with cross-functional and distributed teams.
- Implement accessible, responsive, performant user interfaces and own front-end performance metrics.
- Build web and mobile experiences using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern front-end technologies.
- Integrate front-end applications with the Bruin SDK, public APIs, and back-end microservices.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to generate, refactor, and validate code while reviewing outputs and making architectural decisions.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain standards for quality, security, and maintainability.
- Guide junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to rapid prototyping and MVP development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on front-end development.
- Deep expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and front-end performance optimization.
- Experience integrating front-end applications with APIs and microservices.
- Demonstrated experience building customer-facing or developer-facing product UIs and explaining design decisions and trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining shared design systems or component libraries across multiple applications or teams.
- Proficiency with Storybook or an equivalent component workshop for component development, documentation, and testing.
- Background in agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Preferred experience with AI-powered applications, canonical AI-consumable design systems, Chromatic, MCP-based tooling, developer documentation sites, API reference UIs, interactive playgrounds, enterprise software, telecommunications, B2B technology, cloud platforms, PWAs, Server Components, edge rendering, or successful product launches.
