Responsibilities
- Build and ship maintainable Android applications for Ubiquiti products.
- Implement polished, pixel-perfect user experiences from Figma designs in collaboration with designers.
- Work with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, Kotlin, Coroutines and/or RxJava, dependency injection, RESTful APIs, and WebSocket communication.
- Design long-lived application architectures and maintain high code quality.
- Optimize application performance and memory usage, and perform debugging.
- Develop applications with real-time updates, connected devices, or IoT capabilities where applicable.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex in day-to-day development.
- Create technical documentation and communicate effectively with the development team.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional Android development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and solid knowledge of the Android SDK and application lifecycle.
- Experience with Jetpack libraries, Coroutines and/or RxJava, and dependency injection.
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs and using WebSocket communication.
- Experience implementing pixel-perfect designs from Figma and collaborating with designers.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, performance optimization, debugging, and memory management.
- Ability to design and ship long-lived applications with maintainable architecture and high code quality.
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
- Fluency with modern AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
- Fluency in English and Czech.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android architectural patterns such as MVVM and Clean Architecture is preferred.
- Experience with multi-module Android projects, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing is preferred.
- Experience building applications with real-time updates, connected devices, or IoT products is preferred.
