Responsibilities
- Architect and implement critical software infrastructure for distributed large-scale multi-cloud environments.
- Review architectures and designs to guide engineers in building scalable cloud services.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for cloud-native solutions.
- Catalyze improvements in engineering processes and ownership.
- Research and drive new technologies to leverage the latest innovations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience, including 2+ years in building cloud environments.
- Excellent Unix/Linux experience and programming skills in Go, C/C++, Java, and scripting languages.
- Understanding of IPC mechanisms and experience with TCP/IP, Kafka, ZMQ, gRPC, and ZooKeeper.
- Strong background in cloud environments, including containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and service meshes.
- Experience with databases and understanding of ACID, SQL/NoSQL, and key-value stores.
- Experience in CI/CD using tools like Drone, Github, and Makefiles.
- Experience with in-memory databases like Redis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bonus points for experience with Node.js and Express for building REST APIs.
