Responsibilities

  • Develop shift-left security solutions that apply constraints, scaffolds, rules, and guardrails to AI-generated code during development.
  • Convert written security standards into machine-enforceable formats for programming assistants and pipelines.
  • Build verification workflows, evaluation harnesses, regression suites, reference repositories, and known-bad cases for non-deterministic code-generating systems.
  • Create secure runnable reference implementations, including templates, Helm charts, container images, and worked examples.
  • Productize AI solutions for enterprise use with versioning, observability, latency and cost controls, access control, audit, graceful failure, support, and deprecation models.
  • Set architecture qualification standards for AI tooling in a security context and monitor adoption, outcomes, and residual-risk closure.
  • Collaborate with teams building AI and automation solutions by reviewing implementations, sharing platforms, and improving engineering standards.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in security engineering, platform engineering, product security, infrastructure security, DevSecOps, developer experience engineering, or software engineering for large distributed systems.
  • Expertise with AI coding agents, context and constraint injection, rules, scaffolds, plan-mode workflows, tool integrations, and specification-guided development.
  • Experience building evaluation harnesses and regression suites for non-deterministic systems, including result verification, conformance measurement, and regression detection.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes, Helm, containerized environments, container image hardening, and secure identity, networking, and infrastructure primitives.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals in Python or Go, with experience in static analysis, code generation tooling, policy-as-code, schema validation, Git workflows, and automated publishing.
  • Experience taking systems from prototype to enterprise production with reliability, versioning, observability, access control, documentation, and support models.
  • Practical security architecture experience with threat modeling, control selection, isolation boundaries, workload identity, secrets handling, logging, audit, and machine-checkable specifications.
  • Ability to operate as both an architect and engineer, explain trade-offs, influence without direct authority, and improve team capabilities.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred experience includes generation-time agent constraints, attestation or provenance, AI tooling productization, internal developer platform programs, open-source or standards work, technical writing, conference talks, mentoring, or community participation.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of 168,000 USD to 270,250 USD, determined by location, experience, and comparable employee pay.
  • Eligible for equity and benefits.
  • Position is based in Santa Clara, California.
  • Applications accepted at least until October 20, 2026.
