Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, plan, and execute application deployment strategies.
- Deploy, configure, and manage applications across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Develop and maintain deployment scripts and automation tools.
- Design and maintain Terraform infrastructure as code, including reusable modules and remote state management.
- Monitor and troubleshoot deployment issues with development and operations teams.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployments.
- Conduct deployment testing and verification for accuracy, functionality, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with deployment and release-management policies and document processes and troubleshooting guidance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in application deployment, release management, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of application deployment methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Extensive scripting and deployment-automation experience in a continuous integration environment.
- Working knowledge of Terraform, including modules, state management, and CI/CD integration.
- Understanding of continuous integration practices and cross-platform integration challenges.
- Proficiency in system-level and integration-level testing with a strong quality-assurance background.
- Experience specifying and implementing testing and production environment infrastructure.
- Demonstrated deployment experience in hosted environments.
- Strong Windows and Linux skills, including Linux server navigation and troubleshooting.
- RHCSA and RHCE certifications.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies, with strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and quality-focused skills.
