Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize software using CPU architecture knowledge to achieve high performance and low power.
- Run application benchmarks and perform pre- and post-silicon verification against performance and power goals.
- Develop new benchmarks for emerging areas and workloads across product segments.
- Analyze software workloads across libraries, compilers, assembly, runtimes, and algorithms to identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with CPU, compiler, kernel, benchmark-vendor, and open-source teams to meet CPU performance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 4+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 3+ years or a PhD plus 2+ years.
- At least 2 years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- The general summary requests 9+ years of software engineering or related experience.
- Excellent programming ability in C, C++, Assembly, Python, and JavaScript.
- In-depth understanding of Linux internals and device drivers.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and operating system concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills for challenging CPU performance problems.
