Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy the ISDP knowledge graph from the domain event store to production using cloud-native data pipelines.
- Model and evolve graph entities and relationships as new Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain data sources are onboarded.
- Design, build, and operate the MCP server exposing graph queries, event-store queries, and schema/DDL discovery tools to agents.
- Define agent tool contracts, context, and guardrails to support grounded and accurate responses.
- Own monitoring and observability for data freshness, pipeline health, query latency and cost, tool-call success rates, and answer quality.
- Implement SLOs, dashboards, alerting, tracing, incident response, and reliability improvements.
- Partner with data engineers and application data source owners to ingest, map, validate, and troubleshoot enterprise data.
- Establish data contracts, schema validation, data quality checks, governance, cataloging, and lineage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of strong software engineering experience with Java and Python, including production-grade testing and code quality practices.
- At least 3 years deploying data or AI systems to production on a GCP-native stack including Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow or Apache Beam, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run or GKE, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Build or Artifact Registry.
- At least 3 years of graph data modeling and querying experience with property graphs and GQL or comparable graph query patterns.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Vertex AI experience involving agents, model serving, embeddings, and evaluation of agent answer quality.
- At least 2 years building LLM or agent systems involving tool use, RAG or grounding, model APIs, and MCP or comparable agent tool protocols.
- Experience with Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, OpenTelemetry, SLOs, dashboards, and alerting for data pipelines and services.
- At least 3 years of Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and secure-by-default engineering involving IAM, least privilege, and secrets management.
- Ability to work directly with data producers to model and validate industrial or enterprise data.
- Preferred experience with Dataplex, Data Catalog, streaming or CDC, event-driven and event-sourced architectures, user-facing graph applications, industrial domain systems, data quality frameworks, schema evolution, and zero-downtime data deployments.
