Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded software solutions for aerospace products and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software specifications and improve system performance.
- Execute project subtasks to meet customer specifications, project requirements, and timelines.
- Conduct technical interchange of system requirements and specifications with team members and internal customers.
- Create software documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and project reports.
- Code in multiple programming languages, including object-oriented languages such as C++.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- At least 5 years of full-lifecycle embedded software development experience.
- Experience with embedded RTOS platforms such as VxWorks, Linux, Integrity, or Deos.
- Experience with computer architecture, networking, and communications interfaces including A429, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python; Assembly language experience is valued.
- Aerospace embedded software development, software verification and validation, software configuration management, and change management experience are valued.
- Awareness of DO-178B/C and experience with software development lifecycle practices are valued.
- Experience with JIRA, Bitbucket, DOORS, and Microsoft Visual Studio is valued.
- Strong communication, analytical, leadership, mentoring, interpersonal, and collaboration skills are valued.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and communicate in English.
- Must be a US citizen due to contractual requirements.
