Base Salary
$388k - $619k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build robust, scalable, highly available distributed infrastructure for traffic management.
- Develop capabilities for region failover, traffic shaping, predictive scaling, and automated infrastructure scaling.
- Build and operate fault-tolerant systems across Netflix cloud and edge environments.
- Apply predictive modeling and data pipelines to traffic shaping and real-time infrastructure scaling.
- Establish and iterate on engineering best practices while collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain high-impact systems that support reliable streaming during major traffic spikes and live events.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience crafting complex, scalable distributed data infrastructure; traffic experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Java, Golang, or Python with a solid understanding of multithreading and memory management.
- Experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
- Experience with automation and orchestration frameworks for scaling and reliability.
- Experience in predictive modeling and data pipelines for traffic shaping and scaling.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining high-impact systems.
- Ability to break down complexity, iterate, and communicate progress with varied partners and stakeholders.
- BS in Computer Science or a related field.

- Annual salary and stock options compensation structure, with the role’s stated annual salary range of $388,000.00–$619,000.00 excluded from benefit details.
