Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Develop models of sensors, actuators, and vehicle dynamics for software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and emulator-based simulators.
- Conduct tests and analyses of embedded software for launch vehicles, spacecraft, CubeSats, and other mission-critical space systems.
- Develop and maintain simulations supporting software validation, on-orbit anomaly resolution, and day-of-launch mission assurance.
- Develop tools and techniques to enhance analysis and simulation capabilities.
- Design, develop, and execute software tests using high-fidelity hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop testbeds.
- Deliver objective technical assessments of flight software safety and mission readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or a related discipline for the Associate Member level; the degree may be pursuing or conferred within the last 12 months.
- 0–1 years of applicable professional experience.
- Experience programming in Python, Java, and C/C++.
- Experience with version control systems and Linux/Unix environments.
- Relevant project experience in dynamics, control systems, control algorithm design, or modeling and simulation.
- Understanding of developing and/or testing real-time embedded software.
- Proficiency with compilers, IDEs, software engineering practices, and coding standards.
- Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites, approximately 10% of the time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
- A master’s degree in a relevant discipline qualifies for the Member of Technical Staff level.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with launch vehicles and satellite payloads, network architecture, cyber security, Model-Based Systems Engineering, VHDL/Verilog, GitLab, Jenkins, and machine learning or AI development.
