Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI agent frameworks and orchestration layers for enterprise use cases.
- Apply LLM optimization techniques including quantization, distillation, prompt and context optimization, caching, and fine-tuning.
- Fine-tune small language models for domain-specific applications.
- Architect and implement backend services and APIs for AI model integration and deployment.
- Design and deploy AI infrastructure and services on AWS and other cloud platforms.
- Implement Model Context Protocol integrations for standardized agent-to-tool and agent-to-data access.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Mentor associate-level engineers and review code and system designs.
- Evaluate emerging agentic AI and LLM engineering tools and research and recommend adoption.
- Contribute to engineering standards and documentation for the Foundation Engineering practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; a master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- At least 5 years of work experience required; 7 or more years preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Python and production-grade backend development.
- Experience with agent development frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and AutoGen.
- Experience designing and deploying enterprise-scale LLM solutions, multi-agent workflows, and advanced RAG architectures with context and memory management.
- Hands-on experience with LLM optimization techniques including prompt engineering, RAG, quantization, distillation, and fine-tuning.
- Practical experience fine-tuning small language models.
- Solid backend development experience, including API design, microservices, and system architecture.
- Expertise in AWS and cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, security, and deployment.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Model Context Protocol for agent-to-tool and agent-to-data integrations.
- Machine learning fundamentals are preferred.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Prior experience mentoring junior engineers is preferred.
