Responsibilities
- Design, develop, analyze, document, test, debug, and support computer software applications, systems, products, and subsystems.
- Develop software tools such as operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
- Lead technical groups and direct the work of other engineers while completing activities on time and within budget.
- Review customer specifications and requirements and develop designs that address technical and cost objectives.
- Develop prototypes, evaluate supplier components and services, and support design-for-manufacture requirements.
- Interact with users and customers to define system requirements and necessary modifications.
- Provide technical assistance to engineers and support personnel and lead less-experienced engineers.
- Participate in proposals and engineering, customer, and business meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Fluency in relevant technologies and application domains.
- Ability to independently lead a technical group.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- An active Department of Defense security clearance or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable time after starting employment is required.
