Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, document, install, maintain, and support business applications.
- Use Java expertise to develop platforms and solutions.
- Write robust, testable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Produce UI designs and implementations that follow industry best practices.
- Comply with information security controls, activities, policies, and strategies.
- Anticipate potential issues in proposed designs and solutions.
- Meet project deadlines, milestones, and established performance targets.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, leads, and management in an Agile development environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
- Contribute to a continuous improvement work culture.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Java 7/8.
- Mandatory English proficiency.
- Strong background in application design and analysis, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with WebServices, REST APIs, and third-party API integrations including OAuth and social media integrations.
- Experience with AWS EC2, GCP, and/or Azure.
- Experience with Docker and Vagrant.
- Proficiency with Git and/or BitBucket.
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Consulting experience with a track record of increasing responsibility, creativity, and innovation.
- CMS development experience is preferred.
- Experience with SpringBoot and the Spring framework/context is preferred.
