Responsibilities
- Develop data curation strategies for user interaction and BCI data.
- Implement BCI decoding algorithms as performant software.
- Evaluate software with simulated and real neural data and BCI hardware in the loop.
- Participate in code reviews and develop new features and tools.
- Collaborate with engineering, neuroscience, and quality teams to identify and capture needs and requirements.
- Regularly travel between the Austin and Oakland offices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent real-world experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- High proficiency in Python.
- Experience with Rust, C++, or C.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and experience collaborating with machine learning practitioners.
- Professional experience with multiple programming languages.
- Working knowledge of operating systems concepts and performant software.
- Familiarity with signal processing and time-series data processing concepts and algorithms.
- Experience with quality management systems projects, such as medical device development, aviation, finance, or defense, is preferred.
