Responsibilities
- Develop simulation models based on avionics software to represent aircraft equipment and systems.
- Translate operational and system requirements into simulation solutions and define interfaces with stakeholders.
- Implement real-time software components primarily in C, integrate in-house and third-party modules, and support aircraft equipment testing.
- Create requirements, test procedures, documentation, and formal acceptance materials.
- Develop automation tools, code-generation capabilities, and optimized build pipelines.
- Support the complete deployment lifecycle from model development through integration and customer acceptance.
- Work with aircraft-development customers and international partners, including occasional on-site travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant software development experience covering software design, procedural and object-oriented programming, and unit, integration, and system testing.
- Profound knowledge of C/C++ and knowledge of distributed systems and simulation frameworks.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- Knowledge of build systems such as CMake and packaging tools or formats such as conan.io, RPM, and DEB.
- Proficiency with Linux and Windows.
- Experience with version control systems, office applications, and Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira.
- Experience with CI/CD or DevOps tools such as Jenkins and software development tools such as VS Code.
- Experience with avionics buses and real-time applications is preferred.
- Business-fluent English is required; German, Spanish, French, or Italian is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in large teams with a proactive approach.
