Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Spacetime platform using C++, Golang, Java, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers.
- Build scalable distributed systems on Kubernetes.
- Develop 5G NTN and Direct-to-Cell orchestration features, including RIC/SMO capabilities, network models, and TN-NTN federation APIs.
- Translate 3GPP and O-RAN concepts and interface specifications into clean, well-tested software.
- Integrate Spacetime with other Aalyria platform components for end-to-end functionality.
- Maintain software design and implementation documentation.
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient code and troubleshoot software issues.
- Stay current with 5G NTN, O-RAN, and satellite communications technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Professional software development experience using C++, Golang, and/or Java.
- Knowledge of gRPC and Protocol Buffers.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems.
- Familiarity with wireless communications, wireless performance modeling, or satellite communications.
- Strong technical communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Preferred experience includes 3GPP 4G/5G systems, RAN, Core networks, O-RAN architecture, 3GPP NTN, Direct-to-Cell, O-RAN or 3GPP APIs and data models, wireless standards, Kubernetes and cloud-native telecom deployments, distributed-system performance optimization, aerospace and defense or telecommunications, and software-defined networking platforms.
