Responsibilities

  • Analyze experiment results, document findings, and help integrate successful strategies into production.
  • Prototype scheduling algorithms designed to smooth computational load.
  • Run benchmarks to evaluate system speed, throughput, and resource efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the RO Performance team on release evaluation and simulation work.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a master’s or PhD in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, particularly data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong software development skills and proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as C++, Java, or Python, plus SQL.
  • Desire to learn and work extensively in C++.
  • Familiarity with or strong interest in distributed systems, data processing pipelines, or operating systems.
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts for interpreting large datasets.
  • Preferred: strong general coding skills, robust software development ability, and C++ proficiency.
  • Preferred: experience or coursework in distributed systems, operating systems task scheduling, or data processing pipelines.
  • Preferred: familiarity with software profiling and benchmarking.
  • Preferred: experience with large datasets and data analysis tools for evaluating system performance.
