Responsibilities
- Engage government customers and mission stakeholders to define operational needs, technical requirements, constraints, and outcomes.
- Design cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions across infrastructure, applications, data, networking, security, identity, and operations.
- Develop architecture diagrams, technical approaches, bills of materials, migration plans, implementation roadmaps, and operational documentation.
- Provision, configure, test, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure, AWS, on-premises, and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management solutions using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Configure cloud networking, identity and access management, security controls, private connectivity, firewalls, DNS, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment workflows, configuration validation, security scanning, and deployment approvals.
- Deploy, configure, operate, and troubleshoot containerized workloads and orchestration platforms.
- Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and observability solutions and perform root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Support technical assessments, migrations, prototypes, demonstrations, engineering evaluations, proposals, estimates, modernization roadmaps, and transition plans.
- Coordinate technical reviews with cybersecurity, infrastructure, data, software, and mission stakeholders.
- Maintain configuration baselines, runbooks, standard operating procedures, technical diagrams, and implementation documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, with equivalent experience considered.
- At least 12 years of progressively responsible infrastructure, cloud engineering, solutions engineering, systems engineering, or technical architecture experience.
- Hands-on experience deploying and administering Azure, AWS, or both, including hybrid-cloud architectures.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with cloud networking, routing, network security, DNS, private connectivity, firewalls, and cloud-to-on-premises connectivity.
- Hands-on experience with cloud IAM, role-based access control, secrets management, least-privilege access, and Zero Trust principles.
- Experience building, maintaining, or supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
- Working knowledge of Linux or Windows administration and scripting or automation with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience deploying, operating, or troubleshooting containerized applications and orchestration platforms.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, infrastructure diagnostics, and application issue resolution.
- Ability to design across infrastructure, networking, security, applications, data, and operations.
- Experience producing architecture diagrams, technical documentation, solution designs, implementation plans, and operational runbooks.
- Must hold CompTIA Security+ CE or another approved 8140 IAT Level II certification and at least one relevant Azure or AWS cloud certification.
- Must reside within 75 miles of Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, or be willing to relocate before the start date.
- Must hold and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include DoW mission systems, federal acquisition, Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, IL4/5/6, enterprise identity services, managed databases, API gateways, message queues, event-driven integrations, SPECTRO Cloud, cloud architecture, Kubernetes, Terraform, security, DevSecOps, and proposal or modernization experience.
