Responsibilities
- Develop and support Python-based applications, including application design, debugging, testing, packaging, dependency management, and deployment.
- Build web applications and APIs with frontend features using React and TypeScript.
- Create features for natural-language data loading and visualization, automated Python and Excel code generation, dataset registration and uploads, and natural-language application development.
- Enable researchers, analysts, portfolio managers, data scientists, and operations users to build, deploy, and maintain applications on company platforms.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Prototype solutions and collaborate across stakeholders within existing technology infrastructure and software development practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Strong Python development experience and modern software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience building web applications and APIs with modern frameworks and technologies.
- Frontend development experience, ideally with React and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and AWS services including S3, ECS, Lambda, and Athena, as well as managed database platforms.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and OpenSearch.
- Understanding of source control, CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and agile delivery methods.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and evaluating, validating, and refining their outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience working with end users and stakeholders.
- Azure and/or AWS certifications are preferred.
- Experience integrating AI into applications is advantageous.
