Responsibilities
- Architect and develop complex embedded software systems for cellular routers with emphasis on security, reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Lead the design and integration of 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and wired connectivity features across Linux-based systems.
- Collaborate with hardware, QA, and product teams to develop system-level solutions and resolve technical challenges.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to technical reviews, design decisions, and team improvement.
- Research and integrate modern embedded technologies, development practices, and performance optimizations.
- Lead complex technical efforts across product cycles and contribute to technical strategy and performance tuning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in embedded systems software development.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and a good understanding of Linux-based software distributions.
- Hands-on expertise in at least two areas: routing software and router feature development, cellular software stacks, Wi-Fi software stacks and protocol implementation, Linux platform engineering, or embedded network security.
- Hands-on experience with modem integration and embedded networking stacks.
- Expertise in cellular technologies, modem interfacing, SIM/eSIM management, Wi-Fi technologies, OpenWRT or equivalent platforms, or Linux Yocto build systems.
- Understanding of network security, including VPNs, secure boot, encryption, security patches, and CVEs.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical efforts and demonstrated impact in technical strategy, performance tuning, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Track record of mentorship and peer development within engineering teams.
- Patents or publications in the related area are desirable.
