Responsibilities

  • Make significant technical contributions to large-scale implementation projects.
  • Take responsibility for challenging technology engagements in Greece and abroad.
  • Design, develop, and deploy leading-edge technology solutions.
  • Create proofs of concept, document technical solutions, and demonstrate their feasibility and benefits.
  • Collaborate with business users to design and develop solutions.
  • Work effectively as part of high-performing, globally connected teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Java or another object-oriented programming language.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, learn new technologies, communicate effectively, and contribute ideas.
  • Completed military obligations where applicable.
  • Preferred experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and at least one relational database such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Preferred familiarity with IDE tools such as JDeveloper or Visual Studio.
  • Preferred knowledge of web services, including SOAP and JSON/REST.
  • Preferred knowledge or experience with Oracle ADF, Angular, Ionic, or Node.js.
  • Preferred experience with source control software such as Git, SVN, or TFS.
  • Experience in the insurance sector or in a solution-provider environment delivering insurance implementations is advantageous.
