Responsibilities
- Develop, test, debug, maintain, and document internal software applications, scripts, utilities, and automation tools.
- Build software solutions that automate repetitive tasks and improve business processes.
- Work with databases, APIs, files, and other data sources to integrate systems and automate workflows.
- Troubleshoot software bugs, identify root causes, and improve existing applications and internal tools.
- Research technologies, assist with new software design and development, and use version control.
- Provide technical support for computers, software, printers, networks, business applications, and other technology.
- Set up and configure computers, user accounts, software, and related equipment.
- Diagnose hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues and assist with IT systems administration.
- Maintain reliable, secure, organized, and accurately documented IT infrastructure and configurations.
- Assist with technology-related projects as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interest and demonstrated ability in computer programming and software development.
- Ability to write functional programs independently and troubleshoot existing code.
- Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++, or similar languages.
- Understanding of variables, data types, control structures, functions, modular programming, object-oriented programming, data structures, error handling, debugging, file and data handling, basic databases, APIs, and system integrations.
- Strong computer troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- General understanding of Windows computers, software installation, networking, and common business IT systems.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly, manage multiple assignments, work independently when appropriate, and communicate effectively.
- Preferred experience or education includes an associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field, practical programming projects, Python or C#, SQL and relational databases, REST APIs, JSON, Git, Microsoft 365, Windows administration, or Active Directory.
- Willingness and ability to complete all applications, background investigations, and other steps required for the government security clearance.
- Following a 60-day trial period, continued employment is contingent upon successfully obtaining and maintaining the required government security clearance.
