Responsibilities
- Automate infrastructure and deployments using DevOps principles, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD practices.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Ensure application availability, scalability, and reliability while diagnosing infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues.
- Support distributed and microservices-based systems, production troubleshooting, monitoring, and deployment strategies including rolling, blue-green, and canary releases.
- Configure infrastructure foundation components, content delivery networks, and large-scale web traffic environments.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams and provide management support through hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, in-person, not-for-profit university or college.
- 5+ years of experience managing heavy web-traffic sites using large-scale architecture with a developer focus.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar platforms.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and enterprise monitoring covering APM, system vitals, synthetics, and RUM.
- Heavy scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, or Groovy.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases and configuring CDNs for performance caching and global traffic management.
- Familiarity with AWS and on-premises network infrastructure, including systems and network administration, DNS, hypervisors, containers, databases, and multi-datacenter environments.
- Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration, including Helm or similar package management tools.
- Preferred development experience with Java, C#, Python, or NodeJS; serverless architecture; REST APIs; microservices; and mobile application support for iOS or Android.
- Preferred familiarity with PCI compliance and remediation, Agile methodologies, Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging such as the ELK stack.
